How to qualify: Be approved as one of Petrnr’s first 100 sitters, in order of approval date, before February 28, 2027 (whichever comes first). Keeping it: Founding status lasts as long as your account is open and in good standing (accurate profile, no unresolved conduct issues) — it ends only if you close your account or it’s terminated for cause. How much can I earn?
Earnings vary by service type, rates, and availability. Many sitters earn meaningful supplemental income by offering boarding, walking, or drop-in visits a few times a week.
Do I need previous professional experience?
No formal certification is required, but you should be comfortable and experienced handling pets. Some pet parents look for sitters with specific skills, like administering medication or working with reactive dogs.
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed securely through the Petrnr platform after each completed booking.
Is there a fee to apply?
No, applying to become a Petrnr sitter is free. We’re also not charging any commission or booking fees on completed jobs right now while we grow — you keep 100% of what pet owners pay you. Standard third-party card processing fees apply to every transaction, and Petrnr currently covers that cost so nothing is deducted from your payout. We’ll give sitters advance notice before that ever changes.
