Why I built Petrnr.

Hey, I'm Bryant — a Murrieta local building Petrnr for our community.

The big pet-care platforms take a huge cut from every booking. Sitters who love what they do end up losing 20-30% of their income to a middleman that already has plenty. That felt broken. Pet families deserve trusted local care, and sitters deserve to keep what they earn.

So Petrnr charges sitters 0% commission — not for a trial, not as a promo, just because it's the right way to grow a local marketplace. Every dollar a Petrnr sitter earns stays in their pocket. And every family who books here is supporting a real neighbor, not a national brand.

Every Petrnr sitter builds a profile with photos, services, and rates, and every booking includes a free in-person Meet & Greet so you can decide who's right for your pet. Sitters live locally, so you're always meeting a real person in your community — not a stranger from out of town.
Can I meet a sitter before I book? +
Yes. Every Petrnr booking includes a free in-person Meet & Greet so you and your pet can meet the sitter first. No pressure — book only when you feel good about the fit.
How does payment work? +
Payment goes through secure Stripe checkout. Your card is charged when you book, but funds are held and released to the sitter only after your service is complete.
How much does Petrnr cost sitters? +
Zero. Petrnr takes 0% commission from sitters — no listing fees, no cut of your rate. Set your own prices and keep 100% of what you earn.
What kinds of pets can I book care for? +
Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, small mammals, and exotics. Real Petrnr sitters offer boarding, house sitting, doggy day care, drop-in visits, and dog walking.
What if I need to cancel? +
You can cancel or reschedule through your Petrnr dashboard. Refunds follow the sitter's cancellation policy — always shown on their profile before you book.
